The Lord is my Shepherd
These were the words of the Lord my God; “Fatten up the flock to be slaughtered. Those who buy will slaughter them and incur no guilt; those who sell will then say, ‘Blessed be the Lord, I’ve become rich!’ Even their shepherds have no pity for them, as I no longer have pity on the land’s inhabitants,” says the Lord. “In a single month I got rid of three shepherds; and my soul loathed them, and they hated me. I lost patience with the flock, and they also came to hate me. Then I said to them, ‘I shall not be a shepherd any more. Any that are to die, let them die; any that are lost, let them stay lost; and the rest can devour one another.”
